No 1 Oil Berth, Belfast Harbour

When a large ship severely damaged a 35m 18 tonne footbridge, Woodburn were called in to repair it.
Transport and installation of the replacement bridge was a marine operation involving tug boats and a floating crane.

Victoria Terminal 4, Belfast

Woodburn are involved in the construction of the new ferry terminal in Belfast Harbour.
We welded steel piles, fender mounting units and dolphin access bridges. |

A1N1 Footbridge, Dundalk
Client - Northroute/SIAC
Woodburn fabricated and installed a 72m covered footbridge across the new A1N1 motorway at Dundalk, near Dublin.

Piling Frame, Orkney Islands
Client - OpenHydro
Woodburn fabricated and installed a 35 tonne piling frame for offshore use at the European Marine Energy Centre.
The frame was used to install a prototype version of a new type of tidal turbine which could revolutionalise green electricity generation.
We were delighted to be a part of such an important and prestigious project.

Loughkey Forest Park, Roscommon

Woodburn manufactured over 250m of treetop walkways which were installed at heights of up to 9m throughout this forest park.
We also manufactured and installed a 36m lift tower for access to 3rd and 5th storey viewing platforms. |

Water Treatment Works, Carrickfergus

Woodburn supplied all the safety and access steelwork at this site - flooring, platforms, ladders, safety cages and stairs.

Woodburn currently hold an M&E contract with Enelpower at Ballylumford Power Station.

Motorway Gantries

Woodburn have manufactured and installed many Motorway Sign Gantries across Northern Ireland, using the Gifford design.
We were also selected from companies across the UK to provide Traffic Research Limited (London) with a standard gantry for testing purposes. |

Victoria Square Shopping Centre, Belfast

In conjuction with Van Halteren, Woodburn completed sheet piling which formed the substructure at the Victoria Square Shopping Centre in Belfast.
Woodburn supplied a team of over 30 welders as part of this operation. |

Lagan Weir Boom Barriers, Belfast
Client - Rodgers Contracts
Woodburn manufactured and installed 2 boom barriers for the Lagan River.
Suspended on hoists, the barriers can be raised or lowered depending on the water level. |

River Roe Footbridge, Limavady
Client - Graham Construction
A 20m long footbridge with a truss design manufactured and installed by Woodburn.
The bridge was designed in one piece to be a strong lightweight structure, with a 400mm camber for asthetic purposes. |

Staircase and Railings, Carrickfergus

Woodburn designed, manufactured and installed this contemporary staircase and railings design for a private customer in Carrickfergus.
A mild steel staircase with stainless steel wire handrails, and a powder coated finish.
